Missouri man arrested in highway shootings in another state

A Missouri man was arrested Thursday, April 17, in another state. The man is allegedly a person of interest in a violent crime case that involves multiple highway shootings. According to authorities, a dozen shootings from several cities in the states have been linked to a single person. Reports are that three people were struck with bullets in the seemingly random shootings, though no one sustained life-threatening injuries.

According to reports, the man who was arrested on April 17 was apprehended with the help of around 30 offices. Reports indicate that some of the officers were wearing tactical gear for the arrest. The arrest occurred after authorities executed a search warrant at the man's residence, which was in a four-plex building.

Reports are that authorities also had a Dodge Neon with out of state plates towed from the scene. Neighbors of the man reported that he was quiet. They said he did come in and out of the residence at odd hours during the night.

Authorities report that they received 114 public tips in their search for the alleged shooter. Prior to the arrest, authorities did not provide much information about any suspect, because they did not want to sway the public to pay attention to certain descriptions of people or vehicles.

Violent crimes, including shootings, homicides, and rapes, are among the most serious charges a person can face. Not only are the consequences of conviction steep, but the future of a person's relationships and careers can be forever altered when the public is made aware of such charges. It's important to consider all evidence and options before making any decisions regarding a criminal defense in such cases.
