About Us

For Over 70 Years, a Family Tradition of Defending Your Rights

Our firm was founded in 1937 by St. Louis attorneys William Sindel and Tebbs Forgey, Jr. Sindel and Forgey shared the mission of providing accused people with the best possible defense. Having inherited their father's strong belief in defending personal liberties and the rights of the accused, Richard and Charles Sindel joined the firm in the 1970s and continue today to carry out the tradition of excellence established by their father.

In the last few decades, the firm has gained a reputation for its outstanding defense work (see Federal Cases, Missouri State Law Cases, and Appellate Cases). Richard Sindel is often called upon by lawyers and judges to travel throughout the country and serve as lead counsel in the most difficult and high-stakes cases.

Our well-researched and presented appellate work has freed scores of innocent people from prison and in many instances saved the lives of defendants who had been sentenced to death. We have won millions in settlements for our injured, victimized or wrongly imprisoned clients. In addition to our highly publicized defense work, our attorneys have expertise in many other areas, including family law, personal injury litigation and probate work.

In 2001, Travis Noble joined the firm. A former police officer and DEA Task Force Officer, Travis brought yet another dimension of expertise to our firm's specialties. Offering an insider's perspective on drug cases, Travis's ability to maximize on the system earned him a position as a principal in our firm. He is renowned for his criminal defense work and is well-known throughout Missouri and the U.S. as one of the country's best DWI lawyers.

Our attorneys have various areas of expertise. Once we've heard about your case, we'll make sure you have the best possible attorney for your case.
